Fellowship of Sufferings
The Bible says that Jesus was a man full of sorrows and acquainted with grief Isaiah 53:3. He didnt have depression or anxiety. He was full of joy and always thankful to God His Father but He had to go through many sorrows, sufferings and difficulties in life and He was a very sorrowful and sad man and He was very serious about His mission to God. There is nobody that understands suffering better than Jesus and Jesus is God incarnate. He was beatin, whipped, mocked, spat on, persecuted, despised, hated, and rejected by man. He had a crown of thorns put on His head, nailed to a cross, and ultimately crucified and He has empathy towards our sufferings and weaknesses.
Jesus prayed to His Father in the garden of gethsamane before His crucifixion and sweated blood and said that my soul is exceedingly sorrowful even to the point of death Matthew 26:38. Jesus died as a sacrifice and a propitiation for our sins and then He rose from the dead on the third day and defeated death and Jesus lived His life as an example of how we are to live our life as an example of someone that went through suffering and death and overcame it through His resurrection and the Bible says that we are to partake in the fellowship of sufferings of Christ Philippians 3:10. We have to bear our own crosses. Jesus said whoever does not bear His cross cannot be His disciple Luke 14:27. The Bible says he that endures to the end will be saved Matthew 24:13 and that only through many tribulations shall we enter Gods Kingdom Acts 14:22. If you dont endure and persevere you wont be saved. If you endure through suffering all the way to the end you'll be raised with Christ. It doesnt matter if its covid, persecution, disaster, anything. God is there and He can get us through it.
