Reasons Why The Catholic Church Is Not Christian
The Bible says we will know them by their fruits. A good tree does not produce corrupt fruits. If there's corrupt fruits it's not of God. The Catholic Church for centuries have murdered and killed thousands of people for reading the Bible and rejecting Catholic teachings. They burned people alive to the stake. They were murderers. There were the crusades, the inquisition, etc. The Catholic Church was a political powerhouse and was in fellowship with the state but Jesus said His Kingdom is not of this world:
"Despite Tancred’s promise of protection, the Crusaders slaughtered hundreds of men, women and children in their victorious entrance into Jerusalem."
"The Inquisition was a powerful office set up within the Catholic Church to root out and punish heresy throughout Europe and the Americas. Beginning in the 12th century and continuing for hundreds of years, the Inquisition is infamous for the severity of its tortures and its persecution of Jews and Muslims. Its worst manifestation was in Spain, where the Spanish Inquisition was a dominant force for more than 200 years, resulting in some 32,000 executions."
Decree of the Council of Toulouse (1229 C.E.): "We prohibit also that the laity should be permitted to have the books of the Old or New Testament; but we most strictly forbid their having any translation of these books."
Ruling of the Council of Tarragona of 1234 C.E.: "No one may possess the books of the Old and New Testaments in the Romance language, and if anyone possesses them he must turn them over to the local bishop within eight days after promulgation of this decree, so that they may be burned..."
Proclamations at the Ecumenical Council of Constance in 1415 C.E.: Oxford professor, and theologian John Wycliffe, was the first (1380 C.E.) to translate the New Testament into English to "...helpeth Christian men to study the Gospel in that tongue in which they know best Christ's sentence." For this "heresy" Wycliffe was posthumously condemned by Arundel, the archbishop of Canterbury. By the Council's decree "Wycliffe's bones were exhumed and publicly burned and the ashes were thrown into the Swift River."
Fate of William Tyndale in 1536 C.E.: William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating the Bible into English. According to Tyndale, the Church forbid owning or reading the Bible to control and restrict the teachings and to enhance their own power and importance.
The Catholic Church has had scandals of pedophilia within the priesthood multiple times. This is a disgrace for people that claim to be religious leaders and people that claim to represent Christ. They are going to answer to God for corrupting children and Blaspheming His name and they will be cast into the lake of fire for if they don't repent.
"The report estimates that 216,000 children were abused by Catholic priests between 1950 and 2020, and that accounting for abuse by other Catholic church employees increases the total number to around 330,000. Around 80% of the victims were boys"
The Catholic Church also had Indulgences that if you paid money to their Church you would pay your dead loved ones into heaven. That is a heresy:
"But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money."

Many people look at the Catholic Church as Christian. I used to also believe it was Christian too before I knew what they really believed. People can't tell the differences between Catholics and other Christians, and they say who are you to say that Roman Catholicism isn't Christianity? But I'll explain exactly why its not Christian. They teach against the Bible. Since the Catholic Church sets itself up as the only true Christian Church on earth that Jesus Christ established, claiming that all other groups and sects that claim itself to be a Christian are wrong, we will hold the Catholic Church to a higher accountability and see if it lines up to what scripture teaches.
1. Catholics believe in a papacy. The papacy is unbiblical and has no basis in scripture. They claim that Peter was a Pope, but Peter wasn't a Pope, he never claimed to be, and there's no evidence in scripture that he was apart of a Catholic papacy. That was an invention of catholics. Peter denied Christ three times John 18:15-27. Peter repented after that, he was a righteous man, that loved the Lord. But why would Jesus choose a man that denied Him three times to be an infallible leader in the place of Christs own Church? Jesus Christ is the leader of the Church, not a Pope. Peter only thought of himself as a man. Not as a Pope. Peter rebuked someone for worshipping him and said he was only a man Matthew 8:9
2. Catholics are devoted to Mary. Mary was a woman of God, she was the mother of Jesus and we do need to respect her, but catholics take it way too far. They are so devoted to her to the point where it literally becomes worship, and an idol, even though they don't admit it. The Bible says we are only to serve and worship God, nobody else. God is a jealous God Exodus 34:14 The Catholic Church teaches that Mary is the 'Mother of God,' and is co redemptive with Christ. That is blasphemy, and its heresy. God does not have a mother. Jesus is God, but He also has a human nature. Mary was the mother of the human nature of Jesus, not His divine nature. And Mary is not co redemptive, the only redeemer is Christ.
3. The Catholic Church practices necromancy and prays to dead people. That's absolutely forbidden in scripture. The Bible says not to talk to the dead:
9 "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee."

The Bible says those things are an abomination to God. They say they talk to dead people and pray to them to get "intercession." Christ is the only intercessor. The Bible says that there's one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 Jesus is the only Mediator.
4. The Catholic Church teaches we're born again and regenerated through infant baptism, that's a false teaching. Infant Baptism is a practice found nowhere in scripture and has nothing to do with being born again. That causes false converts. We're born again through repentance and faith. The Catholic Church has a false definition of what being born again means which means people can't be born again through the teachings of their Church.
5. The Catholic Church teaches something called 'Sacred Tradition,' and don't believe that the Bible is enough and that we have to read it according to the interpretations of their Church, which is why the Catholic Church made reading the Bible to the common people illegal until the Reformation, people have even been killed by them trying to read it.
6. The Catholic Church is full of statues and graven images of God. The Bible says not to make any graven images, it's the second of the ten commandments:
4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"

7. The Catholic Church teaches that everyone can be saved apart from Christ, including atheists and unbelievers, and people of other religions. That's a lie according to what Jesus said, Jesus said that He was only way to get to heaven:
Pope Francis teaches that even atheists and people in different religions can go to heaven:
"You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don’t believe and who don’t seek the faith. I start by saying – and this is the fundamental thing – that God’s mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience."

What Jesus said was very clear, the Catholic Church denies what Jesus Christ taught, and deny the need of faith for a persons salvation, and teach that its just all works and that as long as you're just a "good person," you'll get to heaven. Well, if you're not following Jesus Christ, you're not a good person. You're wicked, and on your way to hell, and hate God.
8. The Catholic Church teaches purgatory for so called "veniel," sins which grants people a way out of hell and is a lie and gives people a false assurance who don't make it to heaven and keep them comforted in their sin. No sinner will enter into heaven. And if you don't make it to heaven, your only other option is hell. There is no purgatory. The Bible says it's appointed for a man once to die, after this the judgment Hebrews 9:27
9. The Catholic Church teaches that in the Eucharist, Christ is made physically present, and that we literally eat his literal flesh and drink His literal blood. Jesus said His body and blood is symbolic of spiritual things, it's not His literal body and blood John 6:63 The Catholic version of Jesus is still on a cross, that's constantly being re sacrificed. The true Jesus the Bible teaches only made one sacrifice for sin Hebrews 10:14 and is now ressurected.
10. The Catholic Church calls priests fathers, and teaches they can forgive sins. Jesus said to call no man father Matthew 23:9 We only have one Father, and only God has the authority to forgive sins.
11. The Catholic Church teaches that when we sin we have to do penance and punish ourselves. The Bible teaches that when we sin all we have to do is repent, not go through penance or any bizarre rituals.
12. The Catholic Church does repetitive prayers and chants. Jesus said not to do that:
6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."

I do not say these things to pick on Catholics. I love catholics and care about their souls. But when you claim to represent Christianity, and be the only true Church and teach these things, it must be held accountable. The Catholic Church has blasphemed the name of Christ for years and has committed much murder and bloodshed and has brought dishonor to the name of Christianity. And Christians have had to clean up after their dirty work for years, always having to explain to the heathen why true Christians don't kill. The truth is, the Catholic Church is not Christian, it teaches against scripture, and it has led many people to hell. You must forsake the Catholic traditions of man, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation.
